Milliken: Flooring Design + Layout
Through Milliken’s Printworks™ technology the possibilities are expanded as carpet design can now be applied through dye injection. Being part of the Milliken design team I have had the opportunity to create new designs for their standard ranges, bespoke projects and custom library. While some designs may need to meet the client’s specific brief, designs created for the product library allowed more flexibility, instead drawing from trending patterns and colours.
The creativity does not stop at the carpet pattern, but continues with the floorplan layout. As a modular tile or plank, the product installation can allow a unique design as well, such as transitions from one colour to another, or cut out zones using the placement of different products.
